I've been scanning the world wide web all over to find powerpoint for teachers. I'm a teacher at a school and a lot of my teachers use powerpoint as part of the multitude of teaching resources and content they use in school. After browsing various teacher site lists I came across zuma ed's powerpoint for teachers powerpoint store. I'm very excited with the customization of powerpoint and the alignment to education standards. I'd like to factor these into my teachers' classes...Well, the cool part is that they come up with assessment questions etc. The only downside part is they only have the following subjects (at least so far):
Math: polynomials and ration functions
Science: matter and its changes
Social Studies: Constitution and Presidential Elections
One I liked in particular was:
chemistry and anatomy
What makes powerpoint presentations a critical medium for captivating elementary students and assisting them to retain what they learn is that they're modifiable. It kind of makes me not sure why film has dominated the space for as long as I can remember. Zuma ed powerpoints have graphics and applets as well as poingant videos anyway. So really you get more than you can imagine in their powerpoint products . Highly recommend it. I'm talking to them currently to get a bunch customized presentations for our teachers. I'm advocating for them to be a core part of our lesson plans, and most probably if of Florida Schools band together we can get customized ones just for us--although we can do that ourselves too. Who else is will making this happen with me?
